To Our New Home

It's amazing that we managed to get 12 suitcases and 12 carry-ons in the van that picked us up from Heathrow.  Poor driver...he could hardly see.  He had luggage surrounding him, but he was a good sport about it.  We all piled in and got onto the highway, but it wasn't too long down the road when we had to take a detour.  Detours around here mean going through little villages, narrow roads, lots of stopping and nonstop roundabouts.  That didn't sit well with Owen.  From the back seat he let us know just how carsick he was feeling.  We couldn't even reach him to help him.  The driver had to pull over, although by then he had already emptied his stomach...all over.  With baby wipes we did our best to clean the taxi van and our luggage.  Poor Owen.  We sent him to sit up front.  Poor driver. :)  Again, he was a good sport about it though.

It was supposed to have been a 50 minute ride home, but with the detour it ended up being at least twice that.  I'll bet the driver was as anxious to drop us off as we were to get out.  Here's our house and a pic. of the kids in the backyard (garden).

  2. After all that, I'm sure you are all glad to finally be home. It looks like Emily and Eli are having a great time already! It's nice to see some grass too. It will be awhile before all the snow here will melt:(
